DAC PARENTS, TEACHERS, PRINCIPALS AND OUR LEARNING COMMUNITY COMING TOGETHER TO PLAN FOR THE SUPPORT OF OUR STUDENTS IN OUR LOCAL SCHOOLS Go DAC!
About Us District Advisory Committee (DAC) The full name of the District Advisory Committee (DAC) is the District Citizens’ Title I/State Compensatory Education Programs Advisory Committee. But don't you really like SAC City DAC a whole lot more? Each school with a title I or State Compensatory Education (SCE) program elects two representatives to attend the DAC meetings, and two alternates who serve in place of the representatives in case of an emergency. Officers are elected every two years
The Purpose of the DAC is to provide parents with a strong advisory in the on-going planning, developing, implementing, evaluation and dissemination of information relative to the objectives and activities of the Title I and SCE programs of the school district. The committee meets to advise district administrators and the Board of Education regarding the programs; discuss concerns; receive information regarding federal/state regulations, curriculum trend, the budget and how parents can help their children at home, etc.
